Drug Wars. When people hear the term â€Å"Drug Wars† they think that the cause of all the Drugs and Violence flowing through into the United States, is all Mexico’s fault, that Mexico is the cause of so many deaths and a War that the United States thinks it’s â€Å"Winning†, but they are not even making a little dent. Interestingly enough, Mexico is not the only cause of this War going on around the Border, The United States plays a big role around the Drug Wars as well. THE TIES THE U.S. HAS WITH MEXICAN DRUG CARTELS The United States has been having ties with some of the Mexican Drug Cartels for valuable and classified information to lead them to other cartels in order to pass drugs into the U.S. without any problems. The U.S. Government†¦show more content†¦During these years there have been a lot of allegations that Joaquin Guzman Loera, considered until now as the world’s most powerful drug trafficker, coordinates with American authorities in order to send Drugs into the U.S. The DEA agents met with members of the cartel in Mexico to obtain information about their rivals and simultaneously built a network of informants who sign drug cooperation agreements, subject to results, to enable them to obtain future benefits, including cancellation of charges in the U.S., reports El Universal (Kelley 2013). In the late 1990s, Zambada-Niebla’s lawyer made a deal with U.S. agents in which Sinaloa would provide information about rival drug trafficking organizations and in exchange the U.S. would dismiss its case against the Sinaloa lawyer and refrain from interfering with the activities of the Powerful Cartel. ECONOMY IN MEXICO Mexico is still a developing country but that does not signify that it is a poor country. It’s GNI Per Capita, has Mexico classified as an â€Å"Upper Middle Income† Country, but the people in Mexico still suffer because even though they have pretty good economy, they still don’t have enough jobs for people that are trying to live day to day to feed their families. This is where Cartels kick in. They pay good money and they are able to help
